WE ARE ALL SAND

I’m a grain of sand
Filtering a million gallons in the sea
Washed up on so many beaches
The places that I’ve been
I can explain to the masses
A grain of sand is an equal
The engine of the earth
I’ve covered the globe looking for peace
I’ve been broken up into microscopic pieces
The wind has washed me up onto the sand bar
Of some island known as paradise
I have finally been allowed by my own efforts
After searching high and low
Growing life, liberty and equality
For all the grains of sand on this planet earth
Known as men, women and children
We all make up the substance of the castle
We are all sand
